# PvP Challenges & Ranking Badges

## **General PvP Overview**

* PvP (Player vs Player) is a competitive game mode in Web3PvZ where players battle each other in real-time.
* Winning a challenge earns you Challenge Scores, which can be used to increase your mining speed and collect Soul Shards.
* More importantly, PvP is the only way to earn Soul Shards in the game—making it essential for players who want to progress faster in $ZP mining.

1. **Casual Challenge**
   * 🎯 **Low risk, low cost**
   * ✅ SBTs and NFTs allowed
   * 🏆 Earn Challenge Scores and Soul Shards
   * 👥 Up to 100 tables, each supporting 4 players
   * 🤝 Great for beginners and practice
2. **NFT Arena**
   * ⚔️ **High risk, high reward**
   * ❌ Only NFTs allowed (no SBTs)
   * 💥 Winner takes NFT Points for NFT redemption
   * 👥 Up to 10 tables, each supporting 4 players
   * 💎 Competitive and intense
3. **Zombie Cup**
   * 🎉 **Community-wide challenge**
   * ✅ Both SBTs and NFTs allowed
   * 🎁 Winner takes all rewards
   * 👥 Unlimited participants
   * 🔄 Combines fun and strategy with moderate risk

* Challenge Scores: Used to obtain PvP Ranking Badges, which provide a mining speed booster.
* Soul Shards: Used to draw SOUL NFTs, which are required to enable $ZP mining for new NFT MINERS.

## **PvP Participation & Requirements**

* PvP Tickets 🎟️ – These are required to enter any PvP challenge mode.
* Qualified Miners 🧟
  * Casual Challenge: SBT/NFT
    * 8 identical Star 1 Zombie Miners,
    * 3 identical Star 2 Zombie Miners, or
    * 1 Star 3 Zombie Miner
  * NFT Arena: NFT
    * 8 identical Star 1 Zombie Miners,
    * 3 identical Star 2 Zombie Miners, or
    * 1 Star 3 Zombie Miner
  * Zombie Cup: SBT/NFT
    * Any Zombie Miner

* PvP Tickets are special passes required to enter any PvP challenge mode in Web3PvZ.

🎟️ **How to Get PvP Tickets:**

1. **Buy with $ZP**\
   Purchase additional tickets anytime using your in-game $ZP tokens.
2. **Clear Levels – Earn Zombie Boxes**\
   Every time you clear every 5 or 10 levels, you’ll receive a Zombie Box — these boxes have a chance to contain PvP Tickets!
3. **Task Center Rewards**\
   Complete tasks from the TASK CENTER — for every 5 completed tasks, you’ll earn a Zombie Box, which may include PvP Tickets as a reward.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What is a Challenge Score, and how is it used?**</mark>

* A Challenge Score is a special in-game metric earned by participating in and winning PvP challenges in Web3PvZ.
* It reflects your performance in PvP and is essential for unlocking Ranking Badges.
  * Casual Challenge/NFT Arena: Earn 8 points for a win, lose 1 point for a loss.
  * Zombie Cup: Gain 5 points for a win, no points deducted for a loss

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What are Ranking Badges and how many Challenge Scores are needed to earn them?**</mark>

* Ranking Badges represent your progress in PvP. You earn them by accumulating Challenge Scores, with the following thresholds for each badge:
  * *BRONZE: 0*
  * *SILVER 45*
  * *GOLD 113*
  * *TITAN 282*
  * *DIAMOND 704*
  * *AURORA 1758*
  * *SUPREME 3868*
  * *CHAMPION 8507*
  * *LEGENDARY 18718*
  * *MYTHICAL 37435*

## **Casual Challenge Mode**

* 1 PvP Ticket for 1 challenge.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What happens to my tickets if no one joins the challenge?**</mark>

* After a 10-minute countdown without a successful match, your PvP ticket is refunded.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Why is random matchmaking encouraged in Casual Challenge?**</mark>

* Casual Challenge encourages random matchmaking to avoid self-competition and prevent the exploitation of Soul Shard farming with multiple accounts.

## **NFT Arena**

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What is the entry fee?**</mark>

* **3 PvP Tickets + 8 NFT Points** for 1 challenge.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**NFT Arena Auto-Return Rule**</mark>

* If you wait more than 1 hour for a match, the system will automatically:
  * **Return your NFT Points + PvP Tickets**
  * **Free your table** so you can rejoin or use Points elsewhere!

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What are NFT Points?**</mark>

* **NFT Points** are a special currency used in the NFT Arena.
  * You earn NFT Points by **burning NFTs** (1★, 2★, or 3★) or **winning challenges**.
    * **When Burning (Getting Points):** 1:3:8 ratio
    * **When Redeeming (Spending Points):** 1:4:10 ratio

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What is the NFT Redeem Pool?**</mark>

* The NFT Redeem Pool is a marketplace where you can spend NFT Points to exchange for new NFTs (1★, 2★, or 3★).
* The NFTs inside the pool come from **the NFTs that other players burned** to earn NFT Points.
  * It’s a real-time recycling system where every NFT matters!
  * You can pick and redeem NFTs based on what others have contributed.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**How can I earn a chance to redeem an NFT from the prize pool?**</mark>

* Each victory equals one chance to redeem a prize in the NFT Arena!

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**How do I participate in the NFT Arena?**</mark>

* Burn NFTs to gather enough Points (8 Points needed per Arena entry).
* Join the NFT Arena challenge and compete against other players!
* Winning challenges will grant you even more NFT Points!

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Can I freely switch between NFTs and Points?**</mark>

* Technically YES!
  * Burn NFTs to get Points.
  * Use Points to redeem NFTs anytime.
* It’s like having a **stablecoin** inside the NFT economy — super flexible!

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Is there any risk in burning NFTs?**</mark>

* Burning NFTs is a strategic choice:
  * You give up an NFT to earn Points that may help you get better NFTs through challenge or redemption.
  * Plan carefully which NFTs to burn!

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What’s the main goal of NFT Arena?**</mark>

* **Play smart, battle hard, and exchange wisely!**
  * Build a stronger team over time.
  * Keep growing your zombie army without spending extra.

## **Zombie Cup**

* 1 PvP Ticket for 1 spot.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**How many players can join?**</mark>

* Unlimited.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Is it a winner-takes-all mode?**</mark>

* the player who wins the PvP match will receive all the Soul Shards that were part of the prize pool for that specific challenge.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Is this considered a high-risk or low-risk mode?**</mark>

* Casual and Fun.

## PvP Ranking

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What is the new Rank Drop Mechanism?**</mark>

* It's a system that demotes players one full rank when the countdown ends, helping maintain a competitive PvP environment.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**When does the Rank Drop update happen?**</mark>

* The system updates **weekly**, every **Monday at 00:00 UTC**.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**What happens when I'm demoted?**</mark>

* You will **drop one full rank**. For example, if you're in Gold and get demoted, you will move down to Silver.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Will I lose all my PvP points when demoted?**</mark>

* No. Your points will be **adjusted proportionally**.
* If you had 70% progress in your current rank, you'll retain 70% of the **starting points** in the new lower rank.

<mark style="background-color:blue;">**Why is this change being made?**</mark>

* This system ensures that rankings reflect active and consistent performance, and keeps PvP competitive for all players.
